The difficulty for a student production in the Fringe is that they are going to be measured against so many professional companies. Thus, there is the need to have something out of the ordinary to make it stand out either in the writing or in the performance. This production has neither.

The story depicts discarded toys left to gather dust on a shelf and as such is hardly original. They discuss their plight and bicker. There is a constant repetitious music box playing which annoys the toys and began to annoy me as well. The play’s scenes are disjointed. Characters appear, say a few lines and then, mostly, huffily make their exit. The acting is competent but no more.
