For those of you familiar with the Harry Potter stories, you won’t need reminding of the fact that the author J.K Rowling was (and still is) residing in Edinburgh at the time of writing the books.

This tour takes you round parts of Edinburgh which  inspired the author to develop characters and places in the books and also where bits of them were written. The section in Greyfriars graveyard was particularly interesting and we will be going back to look for other characters.

It was an extremely interesting and enjoyable tour, our hostess did her absolute best to ensure that we could all see and hear the features and also made sure that we didn’t lose anyone.

The tour is free and you can leave and join whenever you like, all that is asked of you is that you consider placing a donation into the sorting hat when you finish. Its well worth a visit, and if you go along on a Saturday or Sunday, there is magic also!
