Paul Foot: Image Conscious 4**** - One4Review
one4review | On 07, Aug 2018
It’s testimonial time for Paul Foot as he returns to Edinburgh with his 10th solo show. The show itself will be a delight for his loyal fans, the ‘Connoisseurs’, and will not dent his reputation as one of the most original live comedians.
Paul Foot is a man not afraid to invade the personal space of audience members and mixes surreal humour with eccentric disturbances which mean you will either love him or loathe him. I am happy to admit that I am a lover of Paul Foot.
His new show takes you on a journey through the many conundrums that arise when organising a suburban orgy, the choice of guests along with their back story seem to be the most concerning distraction, I will now have an image of the snooker legend Peter Ebdon inscribed in my memory forever that I would prefer not to have. There were further musings that left Foot troubled around the Royal Family, Masterchef and it’s safe to say I will avoid artisan bread for rest of my days.
Whilst Paul Foot is a critically acclaimed and multi award-winning comedian his sense of humour is not for everyone, but if you enjoy his whimsical musings and rants then you will not fail to appreciate his latest show.
