The Choir of Man 5***** - One4Review

The Choir of Man 5*****

| On 20, Aug 2022

Choir of Man are regular performers at the Edinburgh Fringe and have built up a huge following over the years.

This year we are invited to their fictional pub “The Jungle”. When you first arrive you are invited up on the stage for a free pint (now that’s a great start to any show in my opinion).

We are soon introduced to members of the cast that form Choir of Man, who play typical characters that you would find in any old fashioned pub. Through poetry, Ben Norris relates the importance the pub plays in our community – the social face to face interaction that was so badly missed during lockdown as well as the banter and friendships that are formed. This is acted throughout the performance with a selection of their own remix of songs from artists such as Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream, 500 miles by the Proclaimers, Hello by Adele and an A Cappella performance of Chandelier by Sia.

There is plenty of interaction with the audience as some members are invited on stage to participate in their antics going on in their pub, Worth going up for as more free drink is handed out.

Great comedy, energetic dance routines and without a doubt their amazing voices make this a hugely entertaining show.. I would recommend this for all family, friends, and work colleagues alike
