I had high hopes for this show. I wrongly had several preconceived ideas about what I was going to see. I thought it might be like Comedian roasts or similar to the show Lip Sync. I think the idea is loosely based on that concept.

Presented by Ivo Graham, the show pits two comedians against each other to play a few songs each and the audience votes for their favourite. I thought it was clever that the voting is done by holding up mobile torches as opposed to the usual cheering.

There is the use of projected slides however I could not see them from where I was standing so I am not entirely sure how relevant they were to the show.

Timing was completely off. It was late to start, which if you do not come from Edinburgh, planning your journey home is not easy. The start and finishing time is already very late which potentially can affect how much you enjoy the show.

I was not familiar with some of the comedians however two familiar faces did make an appearance. They basically sing along to some pretty good tunes while riling up the audience to vote for them! It’s depends on the particular comedians energy and enthusiasm, plus the tunes they pick.

I think this would be a great show to attend with a group of friends. It is not one for a lone person. However, it is a fun, energetic sing along experience for a Friday night.
