Kurt Sterling - Corporate Chronicles 4**** - One4Review

This is Kurt Sterling’s first time at The Fringe and he means business. Corporate business!
Following a successful run at both the Adelaide and Sydney Fringe, he’s bringing his “Corporate Chronicles “ halfway across the world to entertain us here in Edinburgh.
In a very intimate setting, Kurt takes us on his own corporate journey, and this relatively new Aussie stand up has us laughing out loud at his antics. How does a young lad from a very rural Australian town hit the big time in the Big City doing a job as a management consultant that even he struggles to explain. Sterling takes the audience on a rollercoaster from his working-class roots to the pinnacle of the elite corporate ladder, only to come crashing back down, exposing the ridiculousness at every level.
There’s some lovely interaction with his audience and he’s able to resonate with all of us who have ever applied for a job, not quite knowing what you’re actually letting yourself in for. He wittingly negotiates us through office politics, dealing with constant pressure and how to handle the regular office drinks reception. His crowd work is impeccable, drawing the audience in and making them part of the narrative, creating a communal experience of laughter and reflection
He’s definitely “one to watch” and his show is a very enjoyable watch.
Enjoyable, relatable content and a must-see for anyone who’s ever questioned the sanity of the 9-to-5 grind.
