Molly Thomas, played by Skins actress Megan Prescott, gets embroiled in the early stages of the adult film industry. She bursts on to the stage wearing a glittering bikini and performs some unexpected acrobatics in the process. Initially, she takes you back to her childhood consisting of a broken home and a father who’s moved on. As a school kid she is desperate to impress her mum, entering dance competitions and auditions.

She’s barely 16 when she gets her break in a saucy TV drama called ‘Meat’, portraying the part of Jordan which earns her a bit of notoriety. Despite her break, she struggles to get work and goes down the path of the adult movie industry. Her character turns 18 but shows a lack of experience, vulnerability and naivety as she is convinced to apply for roles of a more adult nature by her agent. She currently has a boyfriend but her line of work leads to relationship problems.

Despite unsuccessfully trying to gain work, she surrenders herself to adult work, casting couches and an adult movie. She bares all but her humility prevents her from being confident at interviews. She gains popularity online with the fictional search engine Fleshtube but as the work becomes more demanding, she decides to look for something else. After a brief spell working outside then inside a strip club, she gets an unexpected break to appear on a TV show similar to Love island but soon realises that not everything is as it seems! Her character finally starts to show maturity and has a dilemma when the producer suggests she deliberately releases a sex tape to keep the viewing figures up, she considers the options, but what does she do?

Prescott’s performance is exceptional, confident and entertaining. The transition of her character from a young age to an adult is encapsulating and seeing how her characters life is easily swayed is hard hitting at times but with a mature ending and serious finale, it leaves the audience in awe of the overall performance.
