From harmless hand held gameboys to online sometimes harmful action games, there’s no doubt this industry plays a huge part in many people’s lives.
We are on a journey with 2 female game characters, Player 1 and Player 2 not only within each game, but also behind the scenes when the next level or game is loading.
Navigating the levels of this show is as tricky as actually playing a game. Bullying, harassment and misogyny all play their part in this sometimes disturbing look at the world of gaming.
We plunge into the real dark side of this form of entertainment with references to real events, stalking, gender violence and suicide.
These girl gamers are not like other girls, and their comedy is dark. It’s chaotic and energetic, humorous and tragic.
Many people invest hours upon hours of their lives playing games, making choices, clearing levels whilst remaining completely anonymous. This show takes a long hard look beyond the hard-drive into something that’s meant to be fun that can also cause untold emotional and physical damage.
