Rosco McClelland – Sudden Death 5***** - One4Review

Rosco McClelland is a Scottish comedian who has been gathering quite a profile both here and further afield over the decade or so he has been performing. I have seen most of his previous Edinburgh shows and have always enjoyed them, but with this show I feel he has stepped it up a level.
McClelland has always been able to tell a good story, to get laughs out of virtually any situation and despite being stuck in a cave in Edinburgh Old town has always had an audience who found him and enjoyed his shows.
This years offering has all the good bits that he has always had, but there is more, there is light and shade, there is change of pace and a softer side on display at times too, adding to his performance.
He talks about his heritage, growing up just outside Glasgow, a health condition that he developed as a child, a condition he has still to live with today. There is his somewhat shambolic mate, the recording of a comedy gig, his wife, dog, a job interview, prowess as a young sporty guy, Rosco as always finds a load of gags to keep his burgeoning audience happy.
Rosco has had some very good shows previously, but without a doubt it is his best show to date.
