Pete Heat is a tall comedy magician with a unique style of his own, literally! My perception of a magician has always been a clean-cut, well-dressed individual wearing a white shirt, black jacket and hat, but that’s not Pete! His outfit that resembles holy pyjamas, knocks you back a bit. Given how he moves around the stage, with the help of a green Parka, he could easily pull off a good Liam Gallagher impression!

Now for the magic part, on arrival, every audience member are given a number and throughout the show random members of the audience are selected to assist.

Pete cleverly engages with the audience with his own style of humour. He insults the audience with dry humour but immediately apologies for his insults only to retract his apology. He performs mind boggling card tricks and teases the audience asking the question, “Do you want to know how I did that?”, now we would all love to know how the magic trick is done, but does Pete break the magicians code or does he provide his own explanations? Look out for the trick with the Platypus, do not worry, no animals were harmed during the performance! The show finishes with a crescendo of magic tricks leaving you scratching your head as to how he does it.

Pete’s enthusiastic yet laid back approach combined with witty one liners and mesmerising magic tricks makes this show well worth seeing. Enjoy!
