Prashasti comes out strong, susses out the diversity of the audience’s background knowledge, and keeps that energy going until the end, even through the last little bit was a little wandering and mildly difficult to follow. Prashasti is getting older and considering her place in the world. This show explores some of the ways she’s tried to find it.

For a vague framing device the show takes conversations between Prashasti and her therapist, to whom Prashasti turns when things aren’t going right. The show covers marriage, exercising agency, mediation podcasts and role models. Prashasti is a confident and fluid performer, translating cultural touchstones for those who needed it, and exploring relatable and widespread experiences.

This is a densely packed show, and there are a lot of ideas and topic explored within – so many that perhaps some might be pruned to allow the main blooms the space to really thrive. Prashasti is an enthusiastic and generous performer with a lovely contribution to the Fringe.
