Barry Castagnola: The Donny Donkins 'As (hopefully soon to be) Seen On TV' Show 5 Stars ***** - One4Review

It takes real talent to be a character comedian, to be able to sustain the level throughout the hour. It takes even more ability to intentionally play down the acting skills so as appear to do it badly, when it is obvious that you are working you bottom off.
I was fully aware that Barry Castagnola was an extremely funny comedy actor who makes clever use of AV to enhance his performance. I had even seen Donny Donkins last year briefly in his 2012 show. So it was no surprise that the creation had plenty of mileage in it.
I, along with many others packed in to the somewhat furnace like Wee Room where Castagnola introduced as wanna be Donkins showcasing his push for TV fame. All the ingredients were there for this to make it, but somehow Donkins seemed to fail. Rubbish magicians, ‘Scottish‘ Correspondent, a different star guest doing unlikely things while chatting to our host were just a few stops on the way.
There can be no doubt in my mind that is the best show I have seen him perform, the belly laughs were plentiful the AV as usual used to the right extent and the enthusiasm poured out of him almost as much as the sweat.
