Janey Godley is Ungagged 5 Stars ***** - One4Review

It has been a couple of years now since Janey Godley has performed a run at the Fringe, so for her legion of fans it was great to see her back and as an added bonus her extremely funny daughter Ashley Storrie, newly returned to the stand-up scene was doing 15 minutes at the top of the show so two very talented performers for the price on one. Result.
Welcoming their audience in person the ladies started the ball rolling with an example of the banter that was to follow.
Once everyone was settled Ashley launched into her set with a few local references and in a largely self-deprecating set certainly did herself proud. She is a confident performer, I expected nothing less, and judging from the laughs I was far from alone in enjoying her all too short set.
Janey followed on at once and was as always a delight to see on stage. The theme of the show is that she refuses to be gagged and is often vocal on both Facebook and Twitter putting forward her point of view to all even having ‘discussions’ with high profile folk who are no longer her friends!!
She also has the distinction of ‘breaking the internet’ while on Twitter a while ago but I’m going to let her tell you about it when you go and go you must. Janey is such a raconteur I could listen to her stories all night long.
