Michael Che – Cartoon Violence 4 Star **** - One4Review
one4review | On 16, Aug 2013
It is fair to say that the career of Michael Che is going kinda well. He has been in comedy for 4 years and is already a writer on the iconic Saturday Night Live and has been named as one of the 50 Funniest people in Rolling Stone. And now he is playing at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Che was born in the projects in New York’s Lower East side and his accent and laid back style made me have to really concentrate to make sure I caught all he had to say, and it was worth doing so.
Che has a broad base of stories, his love of bacon, Edinburgh stairs, sexting and porn, drinking and sex and a lack of reaction to casual food racism in golf are just some of the topics he talks about. A rather under the influence punter tried to take over his show, and rather than taking him down Michael elected to include him in the show which for me slightly disrupted his flow.
Obviously he is heading for great things back across the pond so who knows when he will be back so take the chance to catch a sure to be star while it is here.
