David Trent first came to my attention last year when he was being mooted as the next big thing and although I enjoyed his show I was not totally convinced.

Let the record show that in what is often thought to be the difficult second show I am now totally convinced that he is definitely a comedian that is going places and then some.

Trent does really heavily on PowerPoint and AV in his show, but it is so cleverly done and slickly presented that I really must take my virtual hat off to him.

It seems that Trent has a huge younger following if the show I attended was anything to go by and they were in some case creased up laughing at his occasional almost rants on product names, special glasses and his own apps. And why not, this former school teacher has definitely got it going on with his show and deserves all the accolades he is receiving. His material is different, occasionally edgy but well thought through a d delivered.

Trent may not be for everyone, but I will certainly be looking forward to next year’s show to see what pearl he will be delivering then.
