Ok to start with I don’t watch ‘Big Brother’, we don’t have digital TV and I hadn’t been drinking before the show.

Why then did it surprise me that I felt I was in a plastic bubble being kept away from all this ‘Eroticised Humour’? Sitting surrounded by people in hysterics barely cracking a smile I wondered if I’d arrived on a different planet from all the other members of the audience!

Russell Brand a young self-confessed slightly effeminate, longhaired, gangly comedian covers his insecurities and sexual prowess in one show. I found it fairly amusing and would award him *** but the rest of the audience were praising him to high heavens on the way out. Audience award *****.
