Both Sides of the Bar is the brainchild of director writer producer and actor Scott Majors, and is set, as the title implies in a pub. Aussie barman, come would be actor, portrayed by Marcus Ryan, is put upon, in fact almost despised by his employer and the regular, fellow Aussie, but TV star Danny, played by the creator. Throw into the mix Danny’s girlfriend Sophie, Hazel Ocsko, almost as put upon by Danny, and adored by the barman and that’s the ingredients for an hours worth of convivial mix of comedy and pathos. Now, by no stretch of the imagination could this be called groundbreaking, but, it is an excellent way to spend an hour during the afternoon. ***
