If you are looking for the antidote to the fast paced sketch show, then Cowards is the show for you. What is very refreshing is the slower pace gives time to relish the humour as it builds up to a climax either big or tongue in cheek. There is not a dud in the dozen or so sketches. Allied with the humour is the superb timing of the comic lines from the four guys. The sketches are varied. There are the absurd such as Winnie the Pooh appearing as an aggressive bully. There are the sharply observed realistic drawn from contemporary life such as the focus group giving their different reactions to a TV advert. For a cleverly and thoughtfully written show which will keep you laughing all the way through, Cowards will fit the bill. It is not surprising they are playing to packed audiences.                                                                        *****
