Tara Flynn – Not Now - One4Review

Irish born Tara, the voice of O2 in the Republic of Ireland has been an artist I have been aware of for a number of years as she performs her comedy, has done impro, even acted in the likes of Talk Radio last year but this was the first time I had seen her do her full show. Ms Flynn has an engaging personality to go with her wicked sense of humour and impish good looks and deserves to be playing to full houses, something her teatime slot is not assisting her in achieving. Tara relates a little of her life, growing up and more recent and the fact that she has recently relocated to London and does not trust the Underground announcements one little bit. A reasonable amount of her material is based on TV, the differences she encountered growing up with only one channel to the multitude that are now available, sets her wit against TV ghost hunter Derek Acorah and adverts, mostly a few years old. Interspersing the more regular material, there are a few pseudo radioslots and playing Victoria Principal in some very unlikely adverts. I thoroughly enjoyed this hour and trust it will not be too long before I can see her again. ****
