Gavin & Gavin -  ..... - One4Review

After a couple of year’s break the Gavin sisters Loretta and Sharon return to The Fringe with this offering. In a show that is heavily based on their family and growing up together as sisters in a large Irish family, times shared in their joint flat and how Loretta’s recent marriage has altered the dynamic. At times the ladies are very funny, unfortunately the majority of the time they are amusing at best. Anecdotes of early family life have a limited appeal to most of the audience and this makes up too much of the show in my opinion. There are high points Loretta’s  alternative to air guitar playing which is brought out a couple of time, the examples of how the girls are different with the opposite sex and conversations at a party are examples of what was rather good. If I was a school teacher marking this I would have to say could do better and must try harder. **
