Quincy: Single Mum - One4Review

Quincy thought his life was perfect until it was discovered the woman of his dreams had a heart problem and could never have children. Despite these warnings they go on to have two kids shortly after this she goes through a routine operation and never gets out of hospital. Now Quincy finds himself a single parent. Despite growing up in a family where emotions are held very much in check and hugs however rare last no longer than 5 seconds. In appearance Quincey is very much a mans man, solid and definitely not small in certain situations potentially scary. Yet this autobiographical show describes his life mainly over the past 17 or so years, giving some deeper familial history to make us aware just how monumental some of the changes in his life have been. I found him very personable and enjoyed the journey he takes us on. He had me laughing and almost crying in turns, the writer of the show has mixed emotions beautifully and Quincy himself seems to open up his very being. ****
