Dean Friedman  -  In Concert - One4Review

In or around 1978 I first heard an American singer songwriter perform ‘Ariel’, although not even making it in to the Guinness book of British Hit Singles, it started my love affair with the music of Dean Friedman. It was 20 plus years later I actually saw him perform at the Edinburgh Fringe. It was his kids show so sadly no Ariel. Geoff and I went to see him a few years ago with his ‘Squirrels in the Attic’ tour and at last I saw him perform it live. This year Dean is back at the Fringe in concert and Ariel is still on his list as are ‘Woman of Mine’, ‘Lydia’ and ‘Lucky Stars’ along with other material old and new. I had an absolutely wonderful time despite missing the end. Dean is a superb musician and I find him very attractive so it is absolutely no problem sitting in his company for an hour and a half. **** The Fringe programme has him down for only 30 minutes whereas it should be 90. ****
