ED - The Musical - One4Review

They say when you die your whole life flashes before you. In the case of Ed (Ben Alyn-Francis) we the audience not only see his life but also the lives of those round him. From his friends and loved ones to those surrounding his comatose body in the hospital. This extremely talented cast not only left me with a lump in my throat but sobbing, yet I had still had an amazing time. Stuart Price’s script along with Michael Bruce’s music and lyrics take you on Ed’s journey with interesting songs and some comedy. Lauren Southwick directs the piece very well. The performers Ben Alyn-Francis, Francis Israel, Lydia Jenkins, Neil Frost, Chris Grahamson, Lisa Millar and Dean Elliott are all good performers and those who sing have great voices. With Joe Hood and Bryan Smith providing the live music. This is a fabulous show despite the subject and I am sure will develop a cult following. These performers are worth taking a note of as should they continue performing we will see more of them in the future. ****
