Lloyd Langford: Every Day I Have The Blues - One4Review

Every Day I Have The Blues
Young Welsh comedian Lloyd Langford is I know a very funny and personable chap partly due to the fact that   I have seen him a couple of times over the last couple of years as he tries to climb the ladder to a higher status in the comedy world. On both previous occasions he captured the audience within seconds and went on to produce a first class set, so I was expecting some more of the same on visiting his Fringe 2009 offering. Okay the space wasn’t full, yet there were still plenty of people to see the show, but maybe it was a Monday night crowd in week three, for some reason he failed to win the majority over, although some where totally in tune with his material. He has plenty of content, largely self-deprecating as he offers up his foibles for general consumption. I feel he was badly affected from ‘the sitting there and staring crowd’, I’m sure with more feedback he would have prospered. Perhaps it was just a bad day at the office, but I’m sure he would agree it was not his best ever gig.   ***
