Jason Cook: In Search of Happiness - One4Review

5 Stars *****

Jason Cook is a comic who is now reaping the rewards he justly deserves having been a Fringe veteran of a number of years now, and every show I have seen he has certainly brightened up my day with his performance.

This year’s version In Search of Happiness basically is what it says in the title, with this genial Geordie highlights the 5 steps to Happiness that he and his mum came up with in the shows construction.

Cook is a friendly interactive comedian, going to and seeks answers from his audience, including them in as friends, okay perhaps only for an hour, but he does get repeat customers year after year.

Never short of a story or a gag Jason has a wide range of material in his repertoire, all liked to his search. He is a commanding figure on stage, his delivery never drops and the laughs are plentiful, with peels of the stuff coming from all around the packed out Queendome.

So Cook has saved us all some time. If you are in the search for happiness then the answer is here, you will have found it in his show, at least for 60 minutes.
