Milton Jones: And the Temple of Daft 5***** - One4Review
one4review | On 15, Aug 2015
Milton Jones is a popular, well known comedian with regular television appearances on Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo so most people coming to see him know what to expect. With his loud shirts and hair looking like he’s just got out of bed, he has the crowd laughing before he even opens his mouth. His silly, quirky and sharp one liners have the packed main hall at Assembly Halls guffawing from start to finish.
His show is filled with the usual puns and clever observations, but he also takes you on an Indiana Jones type adventure for hidden treasure, hoping to rekindle his flagging archaeological career. He brings to life the characters he meets along the way, from the air hostess to many of his old school teachers, wonderfully depicted by him and his explorer uncle, when he remembers to put on the beard. This is just an hour of absurd nonsense but oh so enjoyable. There is some audience participation and you will be treated to a slide show which also highlights his mind reading skills.
You’ll leave this show knowing you’ve seen a very hard working comedian, the hour is absolutely brimming with jokes and is suitable for all ages.
