The Tiger Who Came to Tea 4**** - One4Review

Judith Kerr’s much known and loved children’s book is brought to life in this simple and delightful production. The three actors on stage in the Pleasance Grande sing and dance their way through the simple and easy to follow story. Audience participation is encouraged and even the smallest of children joined in with the singing and dancing, as did most of the adults. The actors did a great job of being true to the story and bringing the book alive.
Holding the attention of children aged two and above for an hour is no easy feat, and certainly there were times when my three year olds attention was lost. However, the sheer joy and excitement of seeing the tiger for the first time for outweighed any moments of distraction.
Overall, The Tiger Who Came to Tea is an excellent choice for a family trip to the Fringe, especially if small children are involved. Highly recommended.
Pleasance Courtyard, The Grand. August 4th – August 31st.
