Jack Gleadow – Mr Saturday Night 4**** - One4Review

Jack Gleadow – Mr Saturday Night 4****

| On 09, Aug 2019

Jack Gleadow harks back to the Saturday night variety acts of the 70’s and 80’s (long before he was born). The likes of Bruce Forsyth, Russ Abbott, Tommy Cooper, Cannon and Ball and many more have provided him with the inspiration for his very modern twist on an old-fashioned variety act.

He is an extremely likeable chap from Hull and his show is good all-round entertainment which encompasses a full assortment of skills, from magic, stand out physical comedy, dance and stand up.

He has excellent rapport with the sell out crowd, most of whom are laughing hysterically throughout the show. He uses a couple of volunteers from the audience to help out with a few of his skits to great comedic effect.

His use of AV is also very effective as he shows a film of his fears for the show and his preparation nicely intertwined with what’s actually happening on stage. We also get snippets of him on local Humberside TV and radio as a young magician. He has very deservingly, been nominated or won numerous awards has a very bright future in entertainment ahead of him.

Jack was part of last year’s Pleasance Comedy Reserve with his 2019 show being his first excellent full hour debut show, well worth a visit.
