It’s the 1990’s and we are transported to Central Perk where Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, Phoebe and all their Friends play out this musical tribute to a much loved TV show.
Set in the Music Hall at the Assembly Rooms, the cast take to the stage and whizz through the best bits of 236 episodes over 10 years, with the focus very much on the on and off relationship between Ross and Rachel.
There are plenty references to many of the iconic moments from the show and all of the cast know how to belt out a tune with some very witty songs. Hunky Handsome Richard and his Perfect Moustache was a particular favourite amongst the audience!
Sarah Michelle-Kelly, bears an uncanny resemblance to a young Monica and Tim Edwards take on Chandler is incredibly accurate. Could he BE any more convincing?
Although the 6 main characters get their fair share of airtime, I enjoyed how the secondary characters managed to get a mention in this mad-cap parody. Xerox girl from the copy shop, you were superb.
It was a bit like watching the box set on fast forward, it’s cheesy and corny at the same time but it’s an easy watch if you’re a Friends Fan and you will enjoy this show.
So if you happen to be on George Street and you’ve walked past the Assembly Rooms, PIVOT, PIVOT, PIVOT and go get yourself a ticket.
