Lou Sanders is a larger-than-life character on stage, she is a natural funny performer with a likeability factor off the scale, hence it was no surprise that the show was an absolute sell-out with a long queue for returns.
Sweeping into her room, Lou references the crystals on her stage to protect her and then is straight into her set of course starting with lockdown, and the fact that she had a lovely one, moving on to the vaccinations and the reasons for having her third.
She has plenty of time for thinking and decided that she would be a NHS responder and also take up roller skating. The next hour features largely life anecdotes in and around this new hobby and Jamie, a fella she met at one of the skate parks. To keep things chronological she refers to her skate diary reading extracts charting her progress on both fronts.
Other points she talks of her family, the loss of an inspiration for her comedy and thoughts for the future, all of which she delivers with a mix of pathos and of course being a comedian still manages to draw laughs.
There is no doubt that she is definitely a performer with a huge future, so TV work has already come her way, there’s more to follow I am certain.
