King Rodolfo is an epic tale of what life was like in the 17th century in Spain and the story of how a humble peasant becomes king! His entrance to the stage with his town criers is a spectacle in itself.

Comedy award winner, Ciaran Dowd, plays the titular character, Don Rodolfo Martini Toyota, to give him his full name, as he looks back on what has been a turbulent, violent and sexy time in history!!

Great audience interaction, we are his courtiers and get involved in the plot from the get go. This Playboy King has us in stitches with his madcap rantings as he prepares to defend his crown against the enemy at the gates.

However, this dapper swashbuckler must atone for his past misdeeds and the courtroom scene is brilliant to watch. This Irish Spaniard knows how to entertain us along with his cast. Can he win back the love of his long lost son, Dragons?

A very enjoyable show from this sharp, witty raconteur, in fact it’s so funny in places that even King Rodolfo loses the plot. Go and spend a day in the life of King Rodolfo, you won’t regret it.
