Sam Lupton has broken up with his girlfriend of five years. To help him deal with this he has come up with his own form of therapy – a cabaret magic show.

When you arrive you are handed a card, pencil and a brown envelope. He asks you to fill out the card in as much detail as possible, keeping the information private. When completed, the card is put in the envelope, sealed and put in a box on stage. I should add that this is not compulsory and he is very careful later in the show to check that you are happy to share information. The purpose of this becomes clear towards the end of the show as he performs a very impressive mind reading act.

Providing well written, humorous songs, clever magic tricks and even graphs (he clearly loves his facts and figures) he takes us through the seven stages of going through a break up. Throughout his performance he builds great rapport with his audience, getting some of them on stage to help him as he goes through this process.

His sharp wit, cool magic tricks and the performance of the songs keeps the audience entertained throughout. An enjoyable show for fans of cabaret with a bit of magic thrown in.
