Becky Umbers is an award-winning New Zealand Comedian with a very unique voice, an audience member describes it as a ‘Kiwi with a cold’ but personally she thinks it sounds more like a Seagull, so when she walks in the room and speaks, people usually look up first! Since an early age, Becky’s mum referred Becky to a speech therapist but its unknown if this helped or not, you can decide!

Becky explains there are three pigs in the story which she identifies as the show progresses. She has a boyfriend, but she did not meet him on a dating site, more of a random sort of selection process. They have moved in together but having to share things is a new concept. When she moved in, she had four fish, but one of them known as Michelle was rather hungry with cannibalistic tendencies! Soon there is only one fish left that needs to be humanely disposed of, but the options are limited, she doesn’t take the popular option, however the suggested alternative it not much better! After the fish incident she gets a dog which has its own sad but hilarious issues. With the use of some visual aids to enhance the performance, she discusses humans fear of certain animals and an unfortunate incident involving a Kiwi bird!

Becky is very much an up-and-coming comedian full of zest and energy, her confidence keeps the audience laughing and like her voice, her personality is unique and with her own style of wit and humour added into the mix, she produces an entertaining performance well worth watching!
