My search for age appropriate shows for 12 year olds led me to this magic show by veteran magician Chris Dugdale. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I haven’t been to a magic show since my daughter was a toddler. Perhaps this may have enhanced my sense of wonder and awe. Chris performs a series of tricks with cards, coins and audience members. The show was slick, fast paced and highly entertaining. My daughter and I frequently turned to one another shaking our heads in disbelief. We were both invited up on stage to demonstrate a trick involving £2 coins and a wine bucket. I am a nervous participant but Chris was gentle and patient with us
and we felt we were in good hands. About half of the show involved audience participation and he treats everyone with respect and kindness. He is an excellent story teller and comes across is a really decent guy. This does not distract from the truly mind-blowing tricks which my daughter and I talked about for days. My favourite trick involved Chris making an audience member believe she could feel him touch her back despite being on the other end of the stage. The hour long show flew by and we were truly blown away. A must see.
