Luke Bayer is sensational, seamlessly playing every character in this musical about rivalry, vengeance, and killer ambition. Accompanied by an exceptional live band, he brings this devilishly entertaining story to life.

Bayer delivers an electrifying portrayal of Desmond Channing, the egotistical star of Ronald Reagan High School’s drama club in Florida. When a talented transfer student threatens his supremacy, Desmond’s diva antics spiral out of control—with deadly consequences. Now condemned to the Seventh Circle, Hell’s most squalid cabaret venue, Desmond is doomed to relive his tragic tale for eternity.

Bayer’s performance is a masterclass in stage acting. He effortlessly transitions between the deranged Desmond, a shy girl with a lisp, a straight-laced NYC rival, and even a prom queen, often within the same scene. Beyond mastering these roles, Bayer adds another layer of brilliance with his hilarious ad-libs, involving the audience, band members, and stage crew throughout the show. Bayer keeps the audience captivated as Desmond’s mania intensifies and the plot darkens. The music and lyrics, written by Alexander Sage Oyen are excellent.

‘Live From Hell’ is a brilliantly funny solo musical, and its success is largely due to Luke Bayer’s exceptional performance. I highly recommend checking out this show—it’s absolutely brilliant.
