For more than a decade now each Fringe I make a point of going to see Jo Caulfield’s latest show. Why so regularly one might ask? The answer is simple, it guarantees a high quality hour, of laughter packed material delivered by a consummate performer, something that cannot always be said of others. Jo has a calmness about her as a performer, she has been at the top for so long it is just second nature I suppose.
There is no message in the show really she talks about her previous year commenting on things that have happened to her, people met and places visited, and a large part about her husband and his foibles.
She let’s the packed crowd hear about neighbourhood ‘older’ parties and the guests, joining her husband in a night out with his pals, reality TV especially property-based ones, TV dating shows, silent rows on train journey and short city breaks in Berlin and Paris, a veritable smorgasbord of topics and each provide material for her to get stuck into.
Jo has a regular core of returnees so I am obviously not alone in my opinion that this is a show well worth seeing
