Chloe Petts – How You See Me, How You Don’t 4.5**** - One4Review
one4review | On 06, Aug 2024
Chloe Petts first came to my attention two years ago with a total sell-out show at Fringe 2022 and cemented her place the following year with an equally well received and successful run. So much so she is now playing in a far bigger room and filling it.
There are no pretentions from Chloe. She is who she is, she wants everyone of her audience to have a good time and enjoy her offering, whoever they are and goes out of her way to assist this reading a glossary of terms for those who were not necessarily conversant with what she was going to perform.
Chole talks a lot about internet trolling, which increased considerably during her stint on Sky Sport News. Her appearance was always high on their agenda. Reminisces on her single sex school, bullies, her rise to head girl and coming out to friends all feature in this delightfully written, immaculately delivered, extremely funny performance. The time just flew by.
Chloe Petts is here to stay. Thank goodness! I just wonder if there is an Edinburgh room big enough to accommodate her shows in a year or two’s time.
