Villains: A dizney in drag parody 4**** - One4Review

I’m a massive Disney fan! I love the fairytale stories and happily ever afters. Everyone reenacts the story’s around the princesses however no one has thought to round up the villains in these tales.
This show centres on a wannabe villain who’s just not quite got it. Her trusted Hairy godmother takes her to meet some of the worst villains in Disney world to get some tips. The dry delivery of an Australian bearded man in a pink sparkly dress, just made me LOL!
This show is full of familiar tunes with a twist on the words. This is definitely not a sing a long show. It is a drag show so there are some impressive dancing and clever interpretations of such Disney villains as Ursula and Cruela DeVile.
There was an array of zing and sparkles in outfits and make up. The cast performing some exaggerated versions of the characters just added to the hilarity of the show. There is, of course, a lot of innuendos, what’s a drag show without them! However the show is an impressive performance of gender expression incorporated into the (not so) innocent world of Disney.
This show exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this show if you like drag or Disney. I haven’t seen the sister show to this – Dizney in Drag:Once Upon a Parody, That will soon change
