Created by Rendez Vous Dance Company, this inclusive dance piece is immaculately performed and seamless from beginning to end.

Poetic, passionate and highly emotive throughout it is almost impossible not to feel the intensity of love between this duet.
Like cats, they circle and meander elegantly and cautiously around one another as their precise moves are executed. In the darkened room the intense eye contact between these fractious lovers cannot be disguised. They hold the intense gaze throughout the piece as their love story unravels to the stunning tones of Nina Simone.

Shivers ran over me as the duet moved elegantly and flawlessly through elements of what can be interpreted as the multi faceted nature of eternal love. The struggles, the passion, obsession, deceit, pain, overwhelming feelings of togetherness and exploration through mirroring of one another’s bodies. Push/pull of love made clear through the magnetism physically and in the space between the duet.

Pivotal ‘Wild as the Wind’ played along whilst the intense love story further unravelled. Tears were shed by a few of the audience. The emotion between the duo is palpable.

Intense, exhilarating, the nature of true love and connection is unapologetically and tenderly revealed as the duo skilfully dance their love story through the beautiful and unbeatable soundtrack of Nina Simone.

This dance piece is not one to miss! 5 stars doesn’t do this collaboration justice. Simply wow.
