Alice-India: See You In Hell 2**

| On 02, Aug 2025

This is Alice’s debut show, and while she hasn’t found her audience or quite settled into her voice yet, this is a competent show drawing on traditional stand-up methodology and delivering far from the worst hour you could spend on the Fringe.

Drawing on her experience as a teacher, Alice-India is comfortable on stage and has nice way with audience management; drawing on her personal experiences she meanders through and around a well-defined premise, creating an enjoyable show that nevertheless doesn’t quite fulfil it’s own expectations. Things seem a bit lost and not-quite-coherent at times, and some things are mentioned but raise more questions that aren’t answered. How did she end up working somewhere that made her feel covered in slime?

There is a throughline and structure to the show which is sufficiently load bearing to hold things together to the end, and enough funny that we aren’t short changed. While the foregrounded-for-effect neediness and whining (“you’re bullying me!”) might put some folk off, Alice-India is a comedian with potential, and despite her attempts to make us think otherwise, an even vaguely sympathetic audience would agree that Alice isn’t a bad person, just doing the best she can.
