Lucy Frederick comes onto stage and opens with an apology…she is posh and finds it hard to finish her sentences. Well the first one is correct she is but not so sure of the second.

In a set packed out with anecdotes and well written stories and yes, some laughs along the way Ms Fredrick talks of an abusive relationship, the loss of her mum, her tendency to cry at the drop of a hat, mental health issues for herself and others, introduce the Maslow Hierarchy of Need into the narrative, and her appearance on Channel 4’s reality makeover show ‘How to Look good Naked’ a number of years ago, the story of which occupied a large part of the hour.

Ms Frederick has a pleasing personality and it is obvious, like the show title infers, she finds telling her story and baring her emotions, anxieties and fears far more daunting than baring all on TV those years ago.

Obviously this is not a laugh a minute extravaganza, yet it does have quite a few funnies in it. Neither is it a therapy session. Why not give it a try and see for yourselves.
