Greta Zamparini co-wrote and stars in this play, which looks at the world of prostitution from high end call girls to sex trafficking. The source material is based on two monologues in a book by Concita De Gregorio, a blog written by an escort, and also from conversations Greta had with trafficked women when she volunteered for the Segnavia project. This makes for a well-informed and convincing piece of theatre, which considers the agency of the women in their life choices, and the attitudes of those that judge them for their predicament.

Greta portrays a variety of women and manages to shape-shift to look completely different for each role. From the first high class prostitute who has chosen her career but refuses the label whore, to street workers living at home or on the street, to the dancing call girl with a blog, to the young girl who is sold to traffickers by her grandmother, Greta is never less that completely believable. The first and last monologues, which bookend the play, are the most memorable, with the  high end prostitute engaging with the audience directly with unsettling confidence, whereas the tale of the sex trafficked girl is tragic and heart breaking.

There are glimpses of humour during the 75 minutes which lightens the mood and Greta is a superb actress. It deserves bigger audiences than the one today, but those in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the show.
