There is no question of the stage presence Garrett Millerick has. It flows from the stage spilling out to engulf the furnace of a room.

He is a big unit too, and resplendent with a full beard you would definitely want him on you side in a scrap. And he loves a moan, oh boy does he!

His material is wide and ranging, things that rile him seem to take precedence, but there are enough of these for the show to be packed with stories.

The usual suspects take a pasting, social media, good people, Amazon reviews, Page three young people, old people, the 5p tax on supermarket carriers, the list goes on.

His anecdotal stuff is well observed, his troop entertaining, his estate agent offering to sell his house, a house he was renting and his preference of the capital’s rudeness are amongst the best.

Millerick is certainly not a comedian it is easy to ignore, and why would you want to anyway? He is refreshing and occasionally does make you think along the way. Oh spoiler alert. No taxi drivers!
