Ivo Graham: Orange Crush 4.5**** - One4Review

Ivo Graham: Orange Crush 4.5****

| On 17, Aug 2025

Faced with disappointment from his young daughter about the fact he did not have a favourite colour, Ivo Graham has now decided it’s orange. In fact, he has committed so hard that he’s done a Fringe show about it.

In Orange Crush, Ivo appears onstage dressed fully in orange to tell the audience about all of his favourite orange things; he also addresses the controversial connotations of displaying such a passion for this colour in Scotland with an astonishingly bold punchline. Each orange item is revealed one by one, with an interactive element as he initially takes answers from the audience for each criteria (such as best orange crisps, drink, etc). This format really shows his knack for crowdwork – he polls the room by getting everyone to cheer for their favourite choices, resulting in the ludicrous experience of a room full of adults gleefully defending either Wotsits or Doritos as if their lives depended on it. While much of the show is light-hearted and silly, there is a clear sincerity to his passion for much of what he discusses, like his hometown of Swindon or his ambassadorship for the MS Society, all of which is delivered with wit and his very unique turns of phrase that make him such a compelling comic. He is able to strike a balance between his ability to ponder the frivolous things in life whilst also using his platform to amplify the causes close to his heart.

If you’re familiar with Ivo Graham, it’s no secret he’s a bit of an agent of chaos, a quality which has clearly enabled the creation of this hour because of the lengths Ivo will go to for the sake of comedy – a particular reveal in the show demonstrates just how much he will commit to the bit. There is truly no telling how far he will take his orange obsession. Chaos is pretty much his brand at this point, and it certainly works for him.
