I was so not up for this show. It turned out to be brilliant.

Three actors tell three short stories which are wacky, off the wall and literally feel as if you’ve stepped through to the other side of the door and a whole other world. Go with an open mind and give them a chance because there is so much reward if you run with them.

These are short stories in the formal sense – intense and concise plot and characterisation – but they take for their subjects ideas that push the limit all the way up to utterly surreal and weirdly alienating (that’s a good thing) but not over the edge, never too far. There’s a touch of the tragic and lots of the comic and all of it dances gleefully on the edge of ridiculous without ever descending. The cast obviously enjoyed themselves, and the by the audience response, they definitely did too. Take a chance, it’s the fringe.
