Carl Donnelly has always been a funny comic. Since his early days right up to last year he wrote and delivered value for money solidly funny shows. Until this year. In my opinion he has now reached another level of excellence.

His image has changed, jokes about looking like a Yew Tree miscreant, his lifestyle has changed even his relationship has changed in fact he declares himself a liberal, a left-wing vegan hippy.

It has not been the best of years for Donnelly, even his break-up happened too late for him to get a show out of it, but what he has done is to reinforce his place a major player in the world of comedy.

He has a packed set full of laugh-out loud material, a general bon viveur attitude, I would like to think that he treated his sold out house as mates chatting in the pub, only with him providing all the laughs.

He talks about trips to wild life parks, zoos, underwear, Gay weddings and him being a bit of hero with drunks on a late night train.

I am certain all would agree that he is right at the top of his game so grab a ticket if you can.
