We have had impro comedy, impro musicals, and impro theatre so I suppose it was only a matter of time until we had the impro movie. Well wait no longer, it’s here in this rather hi-tec show.

The basic principle is that three groups of actors and cameramen borrow three articles from the audience and then disappear into the depths of Teviot House and surrounding area and using the articles as inspiration start shooting three separate storylines which are rushed back to the theatre where they are edited live and a soundtrack added the resulting footage being played almost simultaneously onto the giant screen on stage.

It is all very clever, and one has to applaud the skills involved, but is it comedy? I did quite enjoy it but I really prefer my comedy live not video streamed.
