When I booked to see this show I must admit I expected to see a stand-up comedian, Maybe I should have read the programme closer, because Steve Oram was joined by Alex Kirk and Kerry Gilbert in a collection of sketches and character pieces. Together they give a professional performance, establishing each character effectively and quickly, but for me occasionally the subject matte of these sketches left me cold, I cringed at some of the material and I don’t feel I was alone in doing so, as there was more than one uncomfortable silence, punctuated by nervous giggles. I’m in no doubt that he is a talented guy and I’m sure will do well, but I’m afraid, it was not for me. ***
