Justin Edwards  -  Unaccompanied as I am - One4Review

Justin Edwards  –  Unaccompanied as I am
Justin Edwards, Perrier Newcomer winner in 2002 and past Perrier nominee makes a big impression as he takes to the stage dressed in black, well he is 6 foot 5. However it is the undoubted talent of the man with his own brand of comedy songs that makes an even bigger impression, as accompanying himself on guitar, augmented with the occasional use of backing tracks and videos, he flows effortlessly through his hour of merry mirth. His talents are much in demand on Radio 4 and one can totally understand why, his dry humour, together with a few pun based songs are just made for that medium. I am not saying he is not good live, he is very good, his sense of humour seemed to appeal to one and all. A favourite bit? Well if pushed I’d have to say his barber shop quartet with three more of him on the video screen was absolutely brilliant. For an hour of early evening classy humour this would be hard to beat. ****
