Lizzie Roper in Peccadillo Circus
Ms Roper is an actress of some renown and has appeared in such shows as The Odd Couple and One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest in recent Fringes. Prior to this years production she set about interviewing people from all works of life about their sex lives, recording said interviews, editing them and recording the results onto her iPod which feeds her the lines, warts and all, on stage and she then relates this to her audience giving her a range of characters to showcase her acting abilities. It is certainly a different type of show, she certainly is a fine actress, but I’m afraid this show did nothing for me. The audience I saw had a number of people walk out, but most stayed. However there certainly seemed to be very mixed audience reactions on leaving on the venue. **
